Good afternoon, April 25th I tried to check my eye in optics for a month now I have complained of dizziness and my eyes for reading are a bit blurry and overly forced, right after checking my right eye cyl -0.75 my left eye -1 , 75 is it valid in optics, I want to check again at Dr.Spm if it’s true whether you have to wear glasses, thank you. Good regards.
Hello Mrs Midwife Santi,
Thank you for the question
Slightly blurry vision or decreased visual acuity due to impaired or decreased function of the organs in the eye. A decrease in visual acuity can be caused by:
Nearsightedness (Myopia) is caused by the image of an object falling in front of the retina. In this situation, it can be treated using spherical lens glasses, contact lenses, and surgery
Farsightedness (hypermetropy or presbyopia) results from the image of an object falling behind the retina. This disorder can be treated with the use of positive spherical lens glasses, contact lenses, and surgery
Cylindrical (astigmatism) is caused by the cornea of the eye changing or uneven curvature, so that the incoming light is not focused on a single point on the retina. This disorder can be treated with the use of cylindrical glasses, contact lenses, and surgery.
It's a good idea to check back into an ophthalmologist for a more complete and definite examination. The use of glasses or not will depend on the results of the doctor's examination. We recommend that you keep your eyes healthy by:
If you use glasses, keep using them
Don't rub your eyes
If you use contact lenses, you should keep your hands clean, and change the water of the lenses every time you use them.
Expand to eat fruits and vegetables
Get enough rest
Reduce excessive exposure to light be it TV, computer, cellphone, and direct sunlight
Hopefully it can answer the question.
Thanks. Greetings, dr. Kresnawati Wahyu Setiono
