Blurred Vision With Red Eyes?
doctor, so suddenly my right eye when I see it looks like there is fog/smoke covering it, followed by red eyes and when I look at the lights it looks like there is a rainbow circle. Before, I didn’t wear glasses, but my left eye is minus 2. Do you think that’s a sign of a serious illness or do I have to wear glasses? thanks 🙂
Complaints such as Blurred vision covered with smoke/fog, a sense of glare or like seeing a rainbow, red eyes, possibly a symptom of Glaucoma (increased eye fluid pressure), Cataracts (blurry lens of the eye), or infectious diseases of the eye such as Keratitis (inflammation of the cornea) .
It is recommended to immediately consult an ophthalmologist, the doctor will conduct a direct examination of the outer condition of the eye and check the pressure of the eyeball as well as examine the condition of the internal eye organs (ophthalmoscopy, funduscopy). The doctor will provide treatment according to the cause, such as in glaucoma to reduce eye pressure with drops and drink, but if the situation is dangerous to vision, the doctor will recommend hospitalization and surgery. In the case of cataracts, surgery and insertion of an artificial lens are recommended. In infection, the doctor will give special antibiotic treatment and additional drugs such as corticosteroids and antihistamines.
Beware if the center of the eyeball (korea) is blurry, the eyes are red and the pain is throbbing, you must immediately seek medical attention because it has the potential to make blindness.
What you can do at home is to avoid rubbing your eyeballs when it itches. Use glasses when traveling to protect your eyes from germs and dust from the outside. Eat nutritious food and get enough rest. Avoid looking at the LCD (Tv, computer, cellphone) for too long or reading in a poorly lit place. hopefully useful
