Blushing To The Chest In A 5 Month Baby?
Good morning, I have a 5-month-old child, the chest of my child is flushed only a straight line about one adult’s forefinger long to the right chest to the left of the nipple area, is there any pain in the body so that the red part appears? Normal body temperature, but my child has a runny nose when my nose is slightly blocked and my sleeping position is slightly raised. Please help, thank you
Hello Jezhie, thank you for asking.
Baby's skin is far more susceptible to irritation and infection, than adult skin. This is because the development of the skin layer is not optimal, and the body's immunity has not worked fully. Abnormalities in baby's skin that cause redness are many reasons. This condition may be caused by allergies, irritation of certain substances, bacterial or viral infections, or insect bites.
Basically, if the baby is not feverish and not fussy, then the possibility of these skin symptoms is not dangerous and can heal itself. However, it never hurts to consult with a pediatrician. Doctors need to do a direct examination to be able to determine the diagnosis. The treatment will be adjusted to the suspicion of the cause determined by the doctor. If according to the doctor's need, the doctor can apply topical medication to the problematic area.
In the meantime, try to keep the baby's body from getting wet or moist because of sweat. Try not to apply any material on the problem area.
Thus my brief explanation. Hopefully can help. Regards.
