Body Aches, Nasal Congestion, And Dizziness?
when I wake up suddenly my body hurts and my nose is blocked, dizzy why is that? Do I just catch a cold?
Thank you for the question.
Body aches, nasal congestion, and dizziness can occur due to inflammation of the nasal cavity (rhinitis) due to viral or bacterial infections. Other factors, such as allergies, benign or malignant tumors, foreign body entry, irritation, drug side effects, and immune system disorders can also make complaints appear more severe. Sometimes, inflammation in the nasal cavity can also spread to the sinus cavity (sinusitis), making dizziness, pain around the face and head, and other complaints that are more disturbing.
Need to clarify, how long has your complaint appeared? Do you also feel fever, weakness, tightness, cough, or other more severe complaints? Have you ever traveled to an area that has reported local transmission of COVID-19 (infection due to the Corona virus), had contact with people from the area who have reported local transmission of COVID-19, or have contacted people with COVID-19?
If your complaint has only lasted for 1-3 days, if no other complaints appear more severe, and if you do not have the risk of contracting COVID-19 as mentioned above, chances are your condition is not dangerous. Better, you first handle your complaint by:
Get plenty of rest Take paracetamol medication to reduce body aches and dizziness Drink more and eat a balanced variety of nutritious foods Avoid contact with cold temperatures, smoke, dust, dry air, and pollution Improve personal hygiene and your environment Regular exercise every day for power hold your body stay primed Do not drink caffeinated beverages, however, if in 1-3 days your complaints do not improve, our advice, you go to see your doctor directly to the doctor for further treatment. If necessary, the doctor can direct you undergoing blood tests, x-rays, or other supporting tests, also refer you to the right specialist doctor (such as ENT doctor).
I hope this helps.
