Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Itchy bumps on the body can indeed appear, one of which is due to insect bites. If complaints often appear after you wake up from sleep, then maybe these insects are attached to your bedding. This risk is greater if you sleep on a cotton-based mat.
It could also be that these bumps appear if you are allergic to dust mites. These mites usually settle on bedding, sofas, or other furniture, especially those that are rarely cleaned. Not only bumps and itching, allergy symptoms that appear can be so severe that they cause shortness of breath, cough, runny nose, and so on.
In addition to the two conditions above, it can also be bumps and itching on your skin due to other causes, such as allergies to other substances (eg cold, animal dander, pollen), skin infections (eg miliaria, folliculitis), stress, drug side effects, impaired liver function, thyroid gland, and so on.
Has the complaint been continuous for more than 2 weeks? If so, you should not leave it unattended. Visit a dermatologist and venereal specialist to be evaluated for the cause. If it is suspected that it was caused by an insect bite, the treatment will generally be done by administering anti-itch or anti-inflammatory drugs, either topically or orally.
At this time, you can apply calamine lotion first to relieve your itching. Avoid scratching the itchy skin too often so as not to cause irritation. Choose clothes that are made of cotton and are also clean so the itching doesn't get worse. Bathe regularly and as much as possible, clean your bedding, and choose bedding and pillows that are not made from cotton.
Hope it helps ya..
