Breakfast Fruit For Taking Medicine?
Good morning, I want to ask. I usually have fruit breakfast in the morning such as papaya, melons, watermelons, etc … Previously, I had problems with the bladder system because urination was too excessive. I checked with a urology specialist doctor, but I forgot to ask about This … All of my medicines including antibiotics is recommended after eating everything. If I only eat breakfast, may I or no? Or should I eat rice after that I only take the medicine? Thank you
Hello. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com. We can understand the concern you feel.
Each drug has its own pharmacological profile which is the basis for determining the recommended time to take medication. Some drugs have been proven to be more effectively absorbed by the body when the stomach is not filled with food. Some others are proven not to be affected by the condition of the stomach which is filled with food or empty.
There are no standard provisions regarding the types of food that need to be eaten if you want to take medicines that are prescribed to be taken after meals. The fruit that you usually consume is enough to make the stomach not empty. So, not eating rice is not a barrier to using your medicine if previously there are other foods that you swallow.
Do not hesitate to consult with your treating doctor if you are confused about the use of prescribed drugs. Thus information from us. Hopefully always healthy. May be useful.
