Broken Child’s Wrist After Falling?
Hello, my 8th child weighs 17kg, this afternoon at 5, my child fell from the cherry tree, about 1.5m tall, I took it to the clinic, was referred to the hospital, after being hospitalized, treated at the emergency room, and immediately at X-ray
Thank you for the question on HealthReplies.com,
The condition of the fall experienced by your child needs to be explored further, how the mechanism of the fall, what are the areas that experience pain and are suspected of experiencing abnormalities (injury, swelling, pain, changes in shape). From the X-ray images available, there were indeed visible abnormalities in the wrist area. It should be noted, however, that the assessment and decision of the surgery does not only take x-ray images, but anamnesis and physical examination are carried out, supported by X-rays and other supporting examinations.
You are permitted to seek opinion on other doctors or in your case other orthopedic doctors to assess and consider appropriate management of your child. Can do questions about the information you want such as an indication of the operation. In the meantime what can be done is not to do much activity with the injured area, avoiding further damage, and not doing sequential therapy without consulting a doctor first.
Hopefully this information helps you,
