Bronchoscopy Examination Results?
Good evening, Please explain the results of my broncoscopy which concluded: Petechiae appears in the OPEN and its branches as well as the BUKi and its branches. Samples are checked by TCM. Thank you 🙏🙏
Thank you for the question.
Bronchoscopy is a method of investigation to see the appearance of organs in the body, especially in the airways, starting from the nose / mouth, throat, larynx, trachea, to the bronchi (the airway that connects the trachea and the lungs). The bronchi have two branches, namely the right bronchus and the left bronchi, which will be connected to the right lung and left lung. After going through two main branches, the bronchi will continue to become small branches called bronchioles, which bronchioles will continue to become the alveoli, the structure of the smallest organ in the lungs that functions in the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
Here are some terms in your explanation:
Petechiae, which is red spots caused by bleeding, this can be caused by various things. OPEN, can indicate the right or left bronchi. TCM, the Molecular Rapid Test, is a test to detect a disturbance at the molecular / genetic stage, so that it can be more targeted. Usually this test is used to diagnose tuberculosis, or influenza. But do not make the above as a reference, because to be able to interpret the results of bronchoscopy, you must consult with a lung specialist who handles and performs bronchoscopy, because it must be adjusted to the symptoms and other complaints that you have, and the results of other supporting examinations that you have done. You should come and consult your lung specialist again for further action.
Hopefully can help.
