Brown Spots Come Out During The Second Trimester Of Pregnancy?
, I’m 14-16 weeks pregnant … yesterday there was a brown blood spot. And after checking the midwife must have a total rest for 1 week u0026amp; no activity allowed. I was given a tablet of folic acid and a white pill that was put in the rectum. Is it mandatory? And is my complaint unnatural ??
Hello, thanks for the question to Alodotker
Bleeding or discharge in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy can be caused by various possibilities, including:
Changes in the normal cervix in pregnancy that can cause bleeding after sexual intercourse or after cervical examination
Vasa previa (ie a condition in which the baby's umbilical cord exits the birth canal)
Abrubtion / abruption of the placenta
Uterine rupture (torn uterus)
Preterm labor (usually in the third trimester)
Basically, there is bleeding from the vagina in the trimester regardless of pregnancy, you should always get an examination from a gynecologist. You should immediately check yourself to the obstetrician, especially if bleeding occurs without any history of sexual relations or previous cervical examinations, bleeding is still ongoing, or very much bleeding.
Before you check with your obstetrician and before your obstetrician gives permission, do not have sexual relations first.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
