Bruised Eyelids After Falling Down Stairs?
i fell down the stairs and the top of my eyebrow and part of my cheekbone hit the wall, but instead my eyelids were bruised…can i apply a trombophop to the bruised area?? Dangerous or not??
Good evening, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. The product you mention contains the generic form of heparin sodium, which heparin sodium functions as an anticoagulant or blood thinner. Blood-thinning medications are useful for dissolving blood clots that usually appear in the form of bruises.
Regarding your question, so far this product has been used to relieve bruises on any external body area, including the outer eyelids. So, if you want to use this on the eyelids, it's actually okay, but you have to remember, don't use it on the inner eyelid, don't use it too close to the eye. Don't get in the eyes. If the eye feels sore, reddened or so on immediately rinse the product with running water and consult a doctor immediately.
If you feel unsure about using the drug, either with the dose or the placement, you should consult a doctor to avoid misuse. Meanwhile, you can compress the bruised area with a cold compress. If the bruised part is not too wide, actually compressing it is enough. Get well soon.
That's all, hope it helps.
