Bruised Feet After Hitting Hard Objects?
I bumped my leg a few days ago with a hard object. So, blushed. A few weeks later, the impacted foot separates the blue mark on the edge and the red on the orange in the middle. If held, it feels painful. What actions should I take?
Hello Mariya, thank you for asking with HealthReplies.com.
When the body collides with a hard object, it can cause hematoma or damage from blood vessels in the body, so that the blood becomes out into the surrounding tissue and bruises will occur, swelling with purple, warm, or accompanied by pain.
Generally bruising or hematoma will disappear slowly in 1-2 weeks, depending on the extent or severity of the injury. If it has been more than 2 weeks but there is no improvement, more pain, or limitations in moving, it should be advisable to consult a surgeon. Your doctor requires a direct physical examination, or other supporting examinations such as X-rays to assess whether there is tissue damage or bone damage.
Some things you can do at home between others:
Resting injured leg
Warm compresses on bruised areas
Lifting the injured leg higher than the jatung or chest area
If there is pain, you can take over-the-counter pain relievers such as paracetamol
