Bruises That Don’t Go Away On Your Legs?
Hello r nI am a 17 year old male. I want to ask about the bruise on my leg, precisely near the shin. The bruise does not go away. Even I don’t remember where I got this bruise. As I remember when I was in junior high school, this bruise was not there and only when I was in high school. This bruise sometimes feels itchy. Is this normal ?? Or is there something that makes these bruises not go away?
Bruising is a condition in which blood vessels are damaged so that blood eventually comes out to the tissue under the skin. It is this blood that eventually gives the skin a red, blue, purple, and even black appearance. Bruises occur most often as a result of trauma such as hits, bumps, falls, etc. These bruises will disappear on their own within 2 to 4 weeks of the trauma. If the blemishes on the skin don't disappear for years like Rizki's experience, then it could be that the skin blemishes are not bruises, especially if you don't feel traumatized in that part.
Stains on the skin for a long time can be caused by the hyperpigmentation process (excessive amount of skin coloring agent) which can occur due to melasma, lentigo, or the presence of eczema. On the other hand, if there was a previous history of trauma to the skin area, there is a small chance that the blood that is under the surface of the skin is trapped due to the accumulation of calcium so it needs to be removed. In addition, some blood disorders can also cause bruises to appear on the skin even if they are not traumatized. So that's advice for Rizki is to get yourself checked by a doctor so that you can do an examination of yourself and a question and answer session about your medical history. That way the information that can be obtained will be more to be able to know the picture of the condition of the appearance of blemishes on the skin.
