Bumps Near Thrush And White?
hello, near my left tonsil there is 1 small lump like thrush which is white. but not painful when swallowing and sometimes like difficulty swallowing.
Hi Oliviaalv, thanks for the question.
Lumps or white patches in the tonsil area are generally detritus or accumulation of pus (pus due to white blood cells, dead microorganisms, and debris) due to a previous infection. Generally, the formation of these spots is associated with the onset of other symptoms, such as sore throat, fever, etc. In addition, there are several other possibilities that can cause these lumps/spots, such as:
Acute tonsillitis (membranous tonsillitis), which is inflammation and infection of the tonsils (tonsils) which can be caused by viruses or bacteria. Aphthous stomatitis, or also known as thrush Vincent angina Diphtheria Fungal infection / oral thrush, due to Candida infection of the tonsils Ulceration due to Trauma Tonsil stones Certain viral infections, such as mononucleosis
In diphtheria, it is found the formation of a grayish white membrane which if left unchecked will clog the respiratory tract. In addition to white membranes, diphtheria also has other systemic symptoms, such as fever, painful swallowing, shortness of breath, and swelling in the neck area. Based on this information, it is unlikely that Olivia is experiencing diphtheria. However, to find out the exact cause still requires further examination by a doctor. The doctor will provide the appropriate therapy. Some tips that can be done:
Brush your teeth at least 2x a day, gargle with salt water or antiseptic liquid that does not contain alcohol to maintain oral hygiene Avoid oily or spicy food temporarily because it irritates the throat Adequate rest and drink lots of water
I hope this helps.
