Burn Marks On The Face That Turn White?
I am 25 years old. My face was burnt and now the scar is white. Is that a suitable medicine for the whitened scar?
Hello. Good afternoon. Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com
Skin conditions appear lighter or white in certain parts called hypopifmentation. if it occurs related to the inflammatory process experienced by the skin, either due to a history of skin diseases or especially burn scars, such as being exposed to the exhaust, scalded, or irritated by chemical exposure, it is referred to as post-inflammatory hypopigmentation.
Most hypopigmentation is not dangerous for what can be done in some studies suggesting to help with sun exposure should be in the morning to areas that contain less pigment than the surrounding, and most important is to avoid the occurrence of repeated injuries at the same location because it will usually worsen the condition.
To further consult with a dermatologist some things that are usually recommended are topical medication, chemical peels and laser therapy.
It is recommended not to treat hypopigmentation with drugs without the advice or supervision of a doctor, to avoid the condition not getting worse because of improper handling.
Thus the information we can convey. May be useful. Thank you
