Calculation Of Gestational Age Based On HPHT?
Good afternoon, u003cbr u003e u003cbr u003eI would like to ask about the gestational age of my partner. The last time I had to do was on July 8 in the morning where in the evening my partner had his period. Normally the monthly cycle is always 28/29 days. Which is my current question:
If your partner is pregnant and the first day of the last menstrual period / LMP is on July 8, 2018, then currently the gestational age is around 8 weeks.
Intercourse that is done just before menstruation is very unlikely to cause pregnancy. However, in theory, pregnancy is still possible, even though the chances are very slim.
The pregnancy begins with fertilization, which is the meeting of a sperm cell with a mature egg that is ready to be fertilized. This mature egg is released when a woman ovulates. After ovulation the egg can last up to 24 hours, while the sperm cell can survive in the uterus for 3-7 days.
In women who have a menstrual cycle of 28 days, ovulation occurs on day 14 counting from the first day of menstruation. However, in women who have short or irregular menstrual cycles, ovulation can occur immediately after menstruation. If at that time the sperm cells still survive in the uterus, at that time fertilization can occur, although the chance of this condition is very small.
If there is any doubt regarding the condition experienced by your partner, it is better to consult this with an obstetrician. The doctor will perform the necessary tests (for example, urine tests, blood tests or ultrasound) to determine whether pregnancy has occurred or not, and determine the next treatment if it is certain that pregnancy is present.
