The condition of my father’s feet now after 1 week more swelling in the calf and can not walk normally. What do you think the cause is, doctor? And what should I do next? Thank you in advance.
Hello, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Reading complaints that are currently being felt by your father, these complaints can be one of the symptoms of some of the following possible conditions:
Calf muscle tear Injury to the calf ligament Calf muscle cramps and several other conditions Looking at the time of the onset of the complaint until now is quite long, then you should take your father to an orthopedic specialist for further examination of the complaint. Your father may undergo several tests during a physical examination to determine the function of muscles and other tissues present in the calf, whether or not there is damage. The doctor may also ask your father to carry out further checks such as X-ray calves. MRI and others to ascertain what condition your father is currently experiencing. After all the tests that the doctor feels are needed, the new doctor will determine what condition your father is currently experiencing, and will suggest any therapy that should be undertaken by your father.
For the time being, you can try compressing with a cold compress and elevating the leg which is currently injured to reduce the swelling that occurs. It is also a good idea for your father to limit his movements using the legs where the calf is injured, if you want to walk, it is recommended to use walking aids to prevent overuse of the injury and prevent the injury from getting worse. It is also recommended not to do any exercise first. If you feel pain that is quite disturbing, you can try to give painkillers such as paracetamol according to the dosage on the package to help reduce complaints.
I hope this helps.
