Can 1-year-old Child Be Given Tea?
Good evening, I want to ask, is it okay for a 1-year-old child to drink tea and whether to consume milk but then the child has difficulty eating … Thank you
Hello Winda, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Children aged 1 year and above, basically should begin to be introduced to a variety of drinks and other foods besides breast milk, including tea. Tea is allowed to be given but it is recommended to give tea that is not given sweetener and should only be given as much as 1-2 glasses per day.
As for formula milk, it is allowed to be given to help meet the nutritional intake that is not obtained by your child through the food consumed and make sure the formula milk used is formula milk that is suitable for your child's age and needs. Although formula feeding is permitted, it is still advisable to make sure your child gets other foods besides milk.
If your child is quite difficult to eat, you can try to provide varied food every day along with making interesting creations from these foods to make your child more excited to eat. It is not recommended to force your child to eat, but make mealtime more enjoyable.
I hope this helps.
