Can A 9-month-old Baby Eat Food Mixed With Mint Leaves?
, want to ask my baby 9.5 months of age, if the baby at that age may not eat food that has a mixture of mint leaves? Thanks
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically there is very little food that should not be given to babies under 1 year. Some of them are:
raw or only uncooked meat or eggs
cow's milk (may be for mixed food, but may not be given as a substitute for breast milk or formula milk)
Other foods including spices are never prohibited from being given to babies under 1 year as long as the consistency is always adjusted to the baby's abilities. For example, you may give nuts for babies, but make sure you do not give them whole (must be destroyed first). You may give baby salt, sugar, MSG, but don't overdo it. Providing other spices, such as using ginger, bay leaves, orange leaves, including using mint leaves in your setting or in drinks that are given to babies is very permissible. These herbs will help your baby explore flavors and make him learn more about flavors.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
