Good night … My baby is 40 days old, want to be immunized but cold cough. Can it be immunized when coughing and runny nose?

1 Answer:

Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com

Basically having mild illness such as a fever that is not too high, a mild cold cough, mild diarrhea, mild ear infection, is not a contraindication for immunization. We recommend that if the baby only has a mild cold cough, you still follow the existing immunization schedule so that your baby does not lag behind immunization.

If a cold cough lasts for more than 5 days and does not improve, take your baby to the pediatrician for further evaluation. If you see any signs that the baby is experiencing shortness of breath, breathing sounds, the baby is seen sleeping constantly and is limp, take your baby to the hospital immediately.

So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
