Can Add Anti-radiation Lenses When Experiencing Cylinders And Minus 3?
Hi doc, I’m 19 years old. I just checked my eyes, the results are cylinders 3 and minus 3. Can I use lenses that have anti-radiation? We have already replaced the lenses that are suitable, but without radiation and the night time is still a little dazzled. NB, everyday I am at the computer. thank you
Eye refraction disorders can be corrected, one of them is by using glasses. The use of a negative / minus spherical lens type is needed to correct myopia abnormalities, whereas for astigmatism abnormalities are corrected with cylindrical lenses both negative and positive. Appropriate prescription eyewear is needed so that the patient is able to see distant objects clearly.
Now there are many types of coatings (coatings) and tinted lenses (lens dyes) that are tailored to the needs of its users. Anti-radiation lenses are lenses that can filter out blue light and excessive ultraviolet light to reduce transmission into the eye. Blue rays emitted by gadgets such as laptops and mobile screens can cause damage to the retinal layer of the eye. Ultraviolet light (UVA and UVB) can cause damage to the cornea, increasing the risk of pterygium formation, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
Antiradiation lenses can reflect blue light (blue filtering anti reflection coating) or yellow / brown tint filtering which will absorb blue light so that it is retained in the lens and not transmitted to the eye. A medical study by Leung et al reported that patients were more satisfied with the anti-glare effect (reducing glare) by using clear lenses (not tinted) with blue filtering anti reflection coating.
For ultraviolet rays from the sun, photochromic type lenses that can change color when outside the room or you can use polarized sunglasses with prescriptions according to your eye's refractive abnormalities.
Try to make eyeglass lenses in a place that is guaranteed quality in order to get a good type of lens and can function properly. Perform regular eye examinations with a doctor so that if there are abnormalities can be detected early. Thus the explanation from me, hopefully useful.
