Can Babies Aged 6 Months Given Starch Water?
In the morning, I want to ask, can more than 6 months old babies be given starch water? If you can what are the benefits. Thank you
Good evening, thanks for the question
Starch water is cooked water immersion rice. Starch boiled water content is only limited to carbohydrates which, if given excessive can be at risk of obesity. Compared to giving boiled starch water, it is better to provide high nutritious MPASI which clearly implies after a child is more than 6 months old to support the child's growth and development process. It is important for children as young as 6 months to be given various types of food with various textures, flavors, and ways of processing so that children will learn new things and train their digestive systems. MPASI does not always have to be expensive, as long as it is varied, easy to obtain, textures that are increasingly enhanced, and highly nutritious. There is no prohibition to provide starch water for babies older than 6 months, but it would be better if children are introduced to nutrient-rich foods early on because the first 1000 days of life are very important for parents to maximize for the sake of optimal physical development and intelligence in children you.
That's all, hope you can help.
