Can Bellies Palsy Be Cured?
good afternoon, I want to ask the problem of bells palsy, I have been affected by bells palsy already – + 3 yrs, but my face looks normal when I smile my heart is not symmetrical and my ears don’t listen a bit, can it still recover?
Hello Agnil, Thank you for the question.
Bell's palsy is paralysis or weakness of facial muscles that occurs on one side of the face that lasts temporarily. The cause of this condition is not known with certainty but is related to pregnancy, diabetes, and viral infections such as herpes simplex (HSV), varicella zoster, Epstein Barr. This condition can cause paralysis or weakness of one side of the face, ear pain on the side of paralysis / weakness, ringing in the ears, ears become more sensitive to sound, decreased sense of taste, easy to drool on the affected mouth, pain around the jaw, headache and dizzy.
Most sufferers, 70 percent sufferers, can recover completely. It usually takes about nine months for the patient to recover completely. If your complaint occurred 3 years ago, then maybe this is a residual symptom that may not be cured. Have you done further tests to the ENT specialist? Hearing loss in your ear can also be caused by piles of earwax, otitis externa, otitis media, hearing nerve disorders, for example due to side effects of drugs, and others. Therefore, you should consult with an ENT specialist first. Your doctor will examine you to determine the cause of your ear complaints. If it is caused by another cause, the doctor will provide appropriate treatment for you, however, if it is caused by Bell's palsy that you have received in the past and this complaint is very disturbing, your doctor may recommend the use of hearing aids, depending on your condition.
Hopefully this information is useful.
