Can Clean Water Kill The Virus?
Tonight, regarding COVID19, one of the best ways to shop is online / delivery, but even then it’s not 100% safe because there is still potential for viruses attached. For example, I buy vegetables or meat from the outside and immediately soaked or washed in clean water, will the virus die instantly? How about apple cider vinegar or warm water? Thanks before.

Hello Bramanta, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Corona virus that causes COVID-19 is based on research can stick to the surface of objects so that this can be a source of transmission, especially if after you touch the contaminated objects you touch your mouth, nose or eyes.
The possibility of sticking the virus to raw food ingredients / food packaging certainly still exists, but is not a main way this virus spreads. Cleaning foodstuffs only uses water based on data that does not kill viruses (especially Corona virus) or bacteria that may be attached to the foodstuff, so that if the foodstuffs purchased are possible, also wash them using special soap that can be used to wash foodstuffs, and cook your food until it is completely cooked.
The use of apple cider vinegar or warm water to clean raw food has no research basis, so it is not recommended for you to do it.
In addition to the above methods, to further minimize the possibility of viral or other bacterial infections through food ingredients, there are several recommendations based on FDA (Food and Drugs Administration) standards that you can follow, such as:
Immediately open and discard food packaging after you buy it
Wash your hands with running water and soap for at least 20 seconds in the right way immediately after opening the food packaging and preparing the food ingredients
Follow FDA standards in cleaning, storing and processing food ingredients according to their type. For reference to this standard, you can read further through the following link.
I hope this helps.
