Can Coronary Heart Sufferers Consume Jengkol?
My father got a heart attack at CICU for 4 days on July 14, pairs of rings on July 15, the results of the pci, the father of October had to ring again. Father’s appetite is decreasing. He wants to eat, there is an appetite, but what do you want with jengkol? Can you eat jengkol for the father of a heart sufferer? ?Thank you
Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Basically, there is no absolute prohibition for someone with a heart condition to consume jengkol. There are no special ingredients in jengkol that can be harmful to the heart.
The two things you need to pay attention to are how much it is consumed, and how to process it. If it's too much, there is a condition called bulging, a poisoning condition caused by high levels of jengkolat acid in the body. This condition will primarily attack the urinary tract and is characterized by difficulty urinating, abdominal and low back pain, red BAK and increased blood pressure which can later also affect the heart.
Then regarding processing it, if you consume it using oil, salt, or other food ingredients that increase cholesterol levels and blood pressure, it can have a bad influence on the heart through an indirect process.
So again, if you talk about the ingredients of jengkol itself, as long as it is consumed in a reasonable amount, or just as an appetite enhancer, it doesn't matter. The important thing is not too much and not processed with materials that should be avoided. So, hopefully answering your question.
