Can Fingers Have Been Infected With A Metal Ruler For 2 Weeks?
Good night. I want to ask 2 or 3 weeks ago I was exposed to an iron ruler on the part of my finger, then I drew out the blood and then I gave red medicine, if so can it become an infection or am I also afraid? thanks.
Injury to your hands from being exposed to an iron ruler causes your outer skin tissue to open. This means that the skin layer underneath loses its protection from germs found in the free air. This has the potential to cause infection in your skin.
But to be able to deduce whether your wound is currently infected or not, the doctor needs to do a direct examination. As for some signs of infection, among others:
swollen and reddish
warm palpable wound
there is pus around the wound
the body has a fever
pain around the wound
should keep the wound clean, avoid moist conditions on the wound, and consumption of foods containing protein to accelerate wound healing such as eggs, chicken, milk, fish and meat. if there is one of the signs or symptoms of infection mentioned earlier then immediately see a doctor,
