Can Herpes Sufferers Recover And Can They Have Offspring?
Hello, I am 24 years old. I want to ask about herpes. Can a woman who has a herpes history have children? Can be completely cured too right? What causes herpes while I am not married. Please answer yes. Thank you in advance 🙏🏻
Hello Astari, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
The term Herpes disease can be used to refer to 2 types of diseases namely Herpes Zoster (caused by Varicella zoster virus infection) and Herpes simplex (which can be caused by 2 types of viruses, Herpes simplex 1 and Herpes simplex 2). Herpes disease which is mainly transmitted through sexual contact is Herpes simplex disease caused by a Herpes simplex virus infection 2. Herpes simplex 1 infection can occur to anyone (including children). Herpes simplex 1 lesions are usually found in the mouth, while Herpes simplex 2 lesions are usually found in the genital. Nonetheless, the location of these lesions can be exchanged (herpes simplex 1 lesions can be found genitally, as well as otherwise) with sexual intercourse orally.
Meanwhile Shingles can occur due to reactivation of the Varicella zoster virus, the same virus that causes chickenpox. If you have had chickenpox or have had a vaccine for chicken pox, the virus in your body can be reactivated (for example because your immune system is weakening) and cause the appearance of shingles.
You should first ascertain whether what you are experiencing right now is Herpes zoster or Herpes simplex. The symptoms of these two diseases basically can heal by themselves, but the virus that causes these two diseases will always be in your body (will not be lost). However, the virus is usually in a dormant state and does not cause any symptoms. Once the immune system is down, the virus can reactivate and cause disease. When in a dormant state, this virus will not be transmitted.
Shingles will not cause fertility disorders, but herpes simplex infection is still not known whether it can cause fertility problems or not. Current research only shows a link to fertility disorders in men with shingles infection, while the link to fertility disorders in women is uncertain.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
