Can HIV Be Transmitted By Anal Sex To HIV Sufferers?
If I do anal (which includes) people with HIV, what percentage of my chance is infected?
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically anal sex has the highest risk of HIV transmission compared to other sex methods. Receptive partners (who are entered) have a higher chance of becoming infected with HIV if their insertive partner (who enters) has HIV (especially if accompanied by ejaculation). The chance of contracting HIV with an insertive partner if the receptive partner has HIV will be higher if the insertive partner is not circumcised, which is 0.62%. If the insertive partner has been circumcised, the chance of contracting HIV is lower at 0.11%. If sexual intercourse is done using a condom, then the risk of transmission will be reduced to 80% of the opportunities mentioned above.
If you have unsafe sexual intercourse (not using a condom) with an HIV sufferer, you should immediately see a doctor to get a PEP (post exposure prophylaxis) or HIV prophylactic treatment to prevent HIV infection from developing in your body. Administration of PEP is effective when risky behavior is carried out in a period of less than 72 hours. If it has been more than 72 hours, then you can only wait for an HIV test. When HIV testing should be done depends very much on what HIV testing is available. If the clinic / hospital / laboratory provides 4th generation HIV testing (antibody and antigen testing), you can do the examination 4 weeks after exposure (risk behavior).
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
