Because for a long time I bought another antibiotic from Thiampenicol brand .. Just took one tablet … Blh, I immediately changed to drink herclov … Because my herclov was proven to have arrived … Please give me a solution doctor …
Hello Linda Almaidah,
Herclov is a drug that contains Valacyclovir. Valacyclovir is an anti-virus (antiviral drug), which is used for the treatment of viral infections namely herpes simplex, herpes zoster, and varicella zoster. This drug is classified as a drug that should only be taken if there is an instruction from a doctor.
The dose and duration of taking Valacyclovir depend on the type of illness. Side effects that can arise when using these drugs are nausea, headaches, stomachaches. Patients with kidney disorders need to get dose adjustment and clinical monitoring when needing this drug.
Thiamphenicol is an antibiotic. Antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections. Bacteria are different from viruses. There are many classes of antibiotics and their use is only limited to patients suspected of bacterial infection or from investigations proven to be a certain bacterial infection. Certain antibiotics need to be given specifically, there are bacteria that are sensitive to certain types of antibiotics and from epidemiological studies can certainly be obtained information, on what diseases which bacteria are most likely to cause it.
Antibiotics are given in measured duration and dosage for effective and safe cure of a disease. The wrong use of antibiotics will cause certain bacteria to be resistant to them, so that if you are treated later with the same antibiotic, there will be no meaningful response. Antibiotics are now limited in number and type, so bacterial resistance to an antibiotic will make it difficult for doctors to provide therapy, especially in cases of severe infections.
The act of buying antibiotics yourself without first checking from a doctor and instructions to take antibiotics is not recommended.
So what needs to be questioned again is whether there is an indication in yourself to consume anti-virus or antibiotics? Have you checked with your doctor before taking the Herclov medicine? Are there any instructions from the doctor beforehand to repeat Herclov's administration if similar symptoms reappear? Is it certain that the symptoms that arise now are the same disease as the disease that you suffered before?
Thus the explanation from me, hopefully useful.
