Can I take medicine for anemia (lack of blood) in the form of Sangobion after eating watermelon?

1 Answer:

Hi Kholifatul,

Sangobion is a supplement brand with iron and mineral content and vitamins to help increase hemoglobin (blood red) levels and help overcome anemia (blood red deficiency). I will not discuss about a particular brand but I will discuss about blood enhancement supplements.

Blood supplement supplements generally contain iron, folic acid, vitamin B12 and vitamin C. Consumption of this supplement is done to overcome or help avoid anemia in vulnerable groups so that blood supplement supplements are generally given to pregnant women or those who are going to become pregnant.

So far no drug interactions have been found between watermelon and iron supplements so you can use these supplements after eating watermelons or as your doctor recommends. However, keep in mind that iron absorption is best on an empty stomach so you should consume the drug before eating if there are no complaints.
