Can I Get Pregnant Again By Cesarean Delivery 3 Times ???
At night, I am a housewife with 3 children giving birth by Caesarean, can I get pregnant again with the gap of the first ank of 10 years, the second 7 years and the third 5 years is the plan to conceive a fourth child ???
Good afternoon, thanks for the question
There is no definite limit on how many times a woman can undergo a caesarean section because complications can occur that differ from one woman to another. What needs to be underlined is that after the third cesarean section, subsequent caesarean section will have a greater risk for both the mother and the fetus, including:
1. Uterine adhesions, the healing process in the previous caesarean section can be less than perfect, causing adhesions to form with the surrounding organs which will complicate the surgeon
2. Injury to the surrounding organs, this occurs because it is difficult to identify the uterine organs if adhesions occur are quite extensive. Organs around the uterus that can be affected are the bladder, rectum, or intestinal wall.
4. Abnormalities of the placenta
In addition, normal childbirth is also no longer recommended if a history of caesarean as much as 3 times because of the risk of uterine wall tearing during straining. The above conditions are not experienced by every woman even though the risk will always be there, so preparation and physical examination need to be done before re-planning a pregnancy. We recommend further consultation with an obstetrician so that an evaluation can be carried out based on the risks involved.
That's all, hope you can help. Wassalam.
