Can I Use Olive Oil Instead Of Facial Moisturizers?
I have been using olive oil for a few days in the morning and evening as a substitute for facial moisturizers and my face is not irritated but I want to ask .. is it safe to use olive oil for a long time and does olive oil dry the skin because there is oleic acid is there something that might just dry the time? please answer
Olive oil / olive oil is oil obtained from the grinding of olives and contains fat, vitamin E, vitamin K, and antioxidants. Olive oil is very good for the skin because it can protect the skin from free radicals, moisturize, soften, and soothe the skin.
However, not everyone is suitable to use olive oil. In some people who tend to be allergic to olive oil, some skin reactions can occur in the form of itching, redness, and for people who tend to get acne easily or very oily skin, olive oil as a facial oil is less precise because it is feared that it can clog pores and cause acne more easily appear.
If you do not experience a negative reaction after using olive oil as a facial oil, then you may continue to use it. But if your face is oily and blotchy easily, it's better to use a water-based moisturizer or a lighter, non-comedogenic facial oil.
Other alternatives to using olive oil other than as facial oil include you can use olive oil as a cleansing oil to clean makeup, as a mixture of facial masks, or used to moisturize the lips, elbows, knees, and heels.
Hope it helps you,
