Can Milk Consumption Before Taking Medicine?
So here goes, I’m in the middle of taking the allergy medicine Methylprednisolone and vitamin Neurodex. About 10 minutes before, I had consumed a drink containing milk namely Coma. Now what I want to ask, will there be a reduction in the effectiveness of the drug if I drink a drink containing / mixed with milk?
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Methylprednisolone is a drug from the corticosteroid group that can cause stomach disorders when consumed on an empty stomach. Therefore you may consume these drugs together with food and you may also consume them with milk. Drinks containing milk will not reduce the effectiveness of this drug. You need to know that these drugs are classified as hard drugs that you should not take before you do a doctor's check first and you shouldn't also buy without a doctor's prescription. If you have not checked yourself into a doctor, you should stop using this drug (because the side effects are very many and can be dangerous if consumed carelessly). If you have checked yourself into a doctor and have been prescribed this drug, then take this medicine according to the rules given by your doctor.
Neurodex is a supplement that contains a variety of B vitamins (vitamin B complex). The absorption and effectiveness of this supplement will not decrease even if you consume it on an empty stomach, with food, or with milk. Therefore, you may take this supplement together with drinks containing milk.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
