Can Not Feel Thirsty, Hungry Or Full

Hello doc, it’s been the past 8 days that I can’t feel thirsty, hungry or full. And even now I am very worried about the situation that I experienced since I panicked because I accidentally consumed excessive caffeine. Is the cause only due to excessive anxiety or are there other factors doc? Please help, thank you.

Hello Reinhard, thank you for asking HealthReplies.com
Caffeine is the main substance in coffee that can activate the central nervous system to increase concentration, focus and fight drowsiness. Caffeine is not found in coffee, but also in tea, chocolate and soft drinks. In some studies, the effect of caffeine can be felt after 15 minutes after drinking caffeine and lasts for the next 6 hours. In patients with type 2 diabetes should not consume excessive caffeine, because it will affect the body in digesting sugar, making cells unable to receive insulin to digest sugar, and can worsen the diabetes. In adults, caffeine consumption should be limited to 400 mg per day, which is equivalent to 4 cups of coffee.
Drinking excessive caffeine can also cause side effects, namely:
Hard to sleep
Frequent urination
Restless
Increased stomach acid production
Indigestion
Heart palpitations
In dealing with complaints that you feel, it could be that it is a symptom of decreased appetite. Lack of appetite can arise due to disorders of the upper digestive tract, namely the stomach. When associated with excessive caffeine that you consume before, it could be that digestive disorders that occur are a result of increased stomach acid. Increased stomach acid makes the stomach feel tired and sometimes painful. You can also feel anxious or psychosomatic feelings. Psychosomatic differences and anxiety disorders are the following:
Psychosomatic disorders. Psychosomatic disorders are psychological disorders that basically there are no health problems in the body's organs, but someone who is experiencing psychosomatic disorders will feel something is sick in him.
Anxiety and panic disorders. This disorder has symptoms of chest pain, difficulty breathing, and shortness of breath can occur. Usually this disorder occurs in people who have anxious personality.
Always think positively about everything we experience, and live a healthy lifestyle. Eat nutritious and regular food, get enough rest, manage stress and avoid smoking. Besides reducing caffeine and alcohol intake. You can also learn stress management and management to reduce symptoms of emotional instability in yourself. If your complaint worsens until an unbearable stomachache occurs, you can immediately check yourself into the ER.
I hope this helps
