Can Not Sleep Well During Young Pregnancy?
I want to ask, I’m 4 months pregnant every night I can’t sleep well, is there any effect on the health of my fetus? please answer thank you.
Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Sleep deprivation does not directly affect your pregnancy, but what happens until you are unable to sleep, and what can happen if it is not treated, may affect pregnancy.
For example, if you can not sleep because of consuming coffee, caffeine in coffee is dangerous because it can trigger contractions in the uterus. If you do not sleep due to a certain disease, excess thyroid hormone for example, the disease can be passed on to your child. Then if you continue to not sleep at night, your body power becomes low, your eating patterns become disorganized, and that will affect your pregnancy.
So again what we need to emphasize is that although sleep does not directly affect your pregnancy, it is the indirect factors that must be considered. If you have trouble falling asleep, you should still consult with your doctor, besides keeping regular control of the obstetrician, who is up to 6 months of pregnancy, once a month. In addition, pay attention to your diet, avoid coffee, alcohol and cigarettes, adequate rest, and consumption of pregnancy vitamins such as folic acid. So, hopefully answering your question.
