Can Nursing Mothers Be Allowed To Consume Post-Madura Herbal Medicine?
Syallom Doctor. Sorry before, I want to ask if breastfeeding mothers can drink Madura NIFAS herbal medicine? Please answer. Thank you
So far there have been no studies that prove the benefits of using postpartum madura herbal medicine for postpartum / postnatal conditions. I will not discuss about a product specifically, but I will discuss the use of supplements, herbs or medicines after giving birth.
After giving birth the mother will enter the puerperium, the puerperium itself serves to restore the condition of the mother's body as before pregnancy. During the puerperal period all excess blood and uterine tissue will be removed through womanhood as puerperal blood and this can generally last for 6 weeks (42 days).
New menstruation can occur after the puerperal phase is complete. The length of menstruation returns can vary between women, however if you do exclusive breastfeeding, the return of menstruation can be longer than mothers who do not exclusively breastfeed. This is still a natural thing and need not worry.
However, if you are worried about your menstrual delays or feel you need additional supplements to support your recovery process, then you should consult with your doctor directly to get advice that suits your conditions and needs.
