Can People With Pelvic Inflammation Still Get Pregnant?
, I want to ask. Because my vaginal discharge is severe and stinky, then there are spots too. After I went to the doctor he said there was free fluid in the right uterus. He said I had pelvic inflammation. But my pelvis is painless and not painful. Why is this actually? Am I still pregnant?
Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is inflammation that occurs in the female reproductive organs. PID can be caused by a germ infection which is generally transmitted through sexual contact. Risk factors that increase the incidence of PID are sexual intercourse by multiple partners, your partner has more than one sexual partner, doing vaginal douches too often, actively having sex at a very young age. Often PID does not give any symptoms. A new woman comes to the doctor if there are complaints of having children, excessive vaginal discharge, or recurrent lower abdominal pain.
The symptoms of PID include:
Lower abdominal pain or around the pelvis
Leucorrhoea is a lot and smells bad
Pain can be with or without spots during and after intercourse
Bleeding from the vagina outside the menstrual cycle
Pain when urinating
Chills or fever
Untreated PID can cause scarring in the reproductive organs. If it occurs in the fallopian tubes (channels that channel eggs into the uterus and become a place of fertilization), the ducts will become blocked and can complicate pregnancy. The fallopian tubes are not good, can also increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy, because the results of fertilization can not enter the uterus. Other complications of PID are ovarian tubal abscesses and chronic pelvic pain.
If you experience complaints like the above, it helps you to see a gynecologist. The doctor will conduct an history and a series of examinations. Possible examinations are ultrasonography and hysterography.
Keep your pubic area clean. Wear cotton underwear that absorbs sweat. Change pants after every shower or more often if necessary. If the couple has complaints also around the genitals, you should also take to see a doctor.
Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
