Can Propolis Cure Glaucoma?
I want to ask, he said, Melia Propolis can cure glaucoma of the eye. Is that true? Thank you
Thank you for the question.
Glaucoma is a disorder in the eye that causes damage to the eye nerve (optic nerve). Often, this condition occurs due to high pressure in the eyeball, it could be due to a buildup of eye fluid (aqueous humor) due to increased production or blocked drainage. Even so, glaucoma can occur without a clear cause. If left untreated, this condition can lead to permanent blindness which obviously can reduce the quality of life of sufferers.
So far, the available glaucoma treatments are:
Provision of topical medicines, such as prostaglandins, defense blockers, alpha adrenergic agonists, carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, etc.
Administration of oral drugs, such as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors
Other operations or therapies, such as laser, tubal drainage installation, and so on
Lifestyle modification, which is by increasing the consumption of foods rich in vitamins and minerals (especially zinc, copper, selenium, vitamins A, C, and E), exercising regularly, limiting caffeine, drinking more, resting a lot by raising the head position, stopping smoking
Not enough research is available on the effectiveness of the products you mentioned in alleviating, let alone curing glaucoma. Therefore, we are not authorized to recommend you use it, especially without direct advice and examination from a doctor or optometrist.
Hope this helps ...
