Can Snacking After Taking TB Medicine?
Hello good evening, I want to ask about the rules of TB medicine. Yesterday I was told at the hospital the rules for taking the medicine, among other things is the rule if you take a morning drink 1 hour before eating, and if you choose at night then 2 hours after eating, you can take medicine. Now what I want to ask here is whether I can eat / snack snacks after taking medicine at night. How many hours can you take the medicine? Thanks.
Good morning, thanks for the question
To maximize the work of anti-tuberculosis drugs, patients are advised to consume them on an empty stomach. In addition these methods can also minimize the side effects of intestinal disorders such as nausea and vomiting that often occur. After taking anti-tuberculosis drugs either at night or early morning on an empty stomach, then it is allowed to consume food by spreading it for about 1 hour. That way the drug has time to process in the digestive tract before food re-enters.
That's all, hope you can help.
