Afternoon,. I am a sufferer of excessive anxiety, panic attacks, and chest pain and depression. Had been treated several times to a Psychiatrist last year, and had been prescribed Alprazolam, Diazepam, Amitriptyline and Eacitalopram. I forgot to ask my psychiatrist can I have some tea? Is it true that tea contains caffeine? I have stopped drinking coffee but I am an active tea drinker.

1 Answer:

Hello Rezayaa,

In general, in consuming tea, it should be no more than 5 cups a day, because if consumed in excess can cause effects such as:

Insomnia and Restless Dependence on Osteoporosis Anemia And if you have certain health conditions, consult your physician doctor who treats you about the amount of consumption of both tea and coffee every day. But if possible it would be better if the consumption of tea or coffee is stopped first until you get an explanation and advice directly from the treating doctor.

So that I can convey, hopefully useful.
