Can TB Symptoms Be Similar To Typhus Symptoms?
I experienced this symptom for more than 1 month, from a small fever, dizziness, coughing, surely every Sunday the body began to feel weak. And I began to suspect that I had types disease, I shared it on google until the symptoms were closer to types disease. But Sunday after Sunday I passed until my body really felt very weak, I immediately went to the nearest hospital and the results revealed that I had pulmonary TB disease, what about my doctor’s advice and opinion about my symptoms and illness … ???
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Pulmonary tuberculosis can provide symptoms such as coughing for more than 3 weeks, bloody cough, weakness, fever, night sweats, shortness of breath, chest pain, weight loss, decreased appetite. You certainly don't have to experience all of these symptoms to be diagnosed with tuberculosis. For a definitive diagnosis of tuberculosis, additional examinations such as sputum and chest X-ray should be done. If indeed you have undergone these examinations and indeed the examination shows the presence of pulmonary tuberculosis infection, it means you do indeed suffer from pulmonary tuberculosis. You must undergo treatment for at least 6 months with antituberculosis drugs.
If indeed your doctor has stated you have tuberculosis, you should undergo treatment according to your doctor's recommendations. The treatment itself consists of 2 phases, an intensive phase where you will be given 4 kinds of drugs (sometimes it can be combined into 1 drug called KDT / fixed dose combination) for 2 months, followed by an advanced phase where you will be given 2 kinds of drugs medicine (which can also be combined in 1 KDT drug) for 4 months. You must undergo this treatment until it is complete, because if it is not undertaken to completion, your risk of treatment failure and drug resistance will increase.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
