Can The Anti-HBs Examination Result Change?
Good morning, my husband has hepatitis B, because yesterday I checked HBsAg (Non-Reactive) and 3x hepa vaccine. After the vaccine I underwent an Anti HBs test with a score of 98, from these results I want to ask:
p dir = "ltr"> Hello, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com
Hepatitis B is an infection of the liver caused by the hepatitis B virus. The disease is initially acute and can become chronic until it is at risk of developing liver cancer and liver cirrhosis. The disease can appear without symptoms, mild to severe symptoms. Some groups at high risk of transmission are:
1. Have a partner with hepatitis B.
2. Work in the laboratory, where often in contact with blood.
3. HIV sufferers.
4. and others, you can read more here.
In this group HBsAg and anti-HBs checks should be done immediately. The point is to see whether you have had Hepatitis B virus infection or not, and whether you have undergone immunization and to see the results of immunizations that have been undertaken. In someone with non-active HBsAg and anti-HBs between 10-100 and who have been vaccinated against Hepatitis B 3x, this indicates that the person is not infected and has already undergone immunization, but his immune system response to the virus is inadequate. So a booster immunization is needed. Anti HBs will be checked again after 2 months after booster immunization is complete.
If the immunization response is as expected, there is no need for regular checks. However, couples suffering from Hepatitis B must undergo continuous treatment by monitoring the results of therapy through HBVdna and liver function at regular intervals so that they can always be in a controlled condition. If it is controlled it will also be protective for their partners.
You should further discuss this with your internal medicine doctor and your husband. Because the doctor who checks directly will be more aware of the health conditions and your illness and your husband. So the handling will be according to need.
Thus hopefully useful.
