Hello doctor … I want to ask … last month I used an ultrasound when I was 8 months old, with a fetus BB 3.02 kg, he said it was overload … I was told to go on a diet … when I was 9, I checked again BB the fetus is 2.7 kg … Can the baby lose weight ?? Is that normal … Thanks before the doctor.
Hello Thaa, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Fetal body weight in the womb can not be actually reduced, but can only be helped to slow down the weight gain.
Your current fetal body weight is only an estimate where the results are not 100% accurate, so the possibility of an error of course is still present. If the differences occur far enough, it's good and check your fetus's condition again to your obstetrician to be sure whether there is a calculation error or if there are other conditions that cause your fetus to be stunted growth.
In the meantime, it's a good idea to do a doctor's re-examination and do all the advice given by your obstetrician to ensure the condition of the pregnancy and your fetus is in optimal condition. It is not advisable to take medicines or pregnancy supplements on your own and without clear advice from your doctor.
I hope this helps.
