Can Typhus Be Transmitted Through Pillows?
I just came home from the hospital because of typhus, then at home while sleeping I use the same pillow when I was affected by typhus only the pillowcase I replaced, is it possible to transmit typhus again? Thank you
Typhus is a bacterial infection in the digestive tract. Symptoms are fever, muscle aches, headaches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, decreased appetite, and confusion.
Typhus transmission itself is not through a pillow, but through incoming food and drinks that are contaminated by typhus causing bacteria. Therefore you don't need to worry about using your pillow. You just need to keep your pillow and room clean so you don't cause other diseases, such as insect bites and mites.
Typhus treatment is with antibiotics and drugs to reduce symptoms. To help you recover faster, you should get enough rest, consume healthy and nutritious food, keep your body clean, always wash your hands before eating and after defecating, and meet your body's fluid needs. Also try to control returning to the doctor on the schedule provided.
Hope it helps you,
