Can Walk If You Have Stitches On The Back Of Your Foot?
I have stitches on the back of my foot, can I walk as usual or wait after the stitches are removed?
Hello Wildfire, thank you for asking.
Basically depends on the area and in the wound. We certainly do not know how your wound is. Wounds that are not extensive and not deep, do not interfere with daily activities. You can do activities as usual, just pay attention so that the wound is not dirty. Also pay attention also so as not to make certain movements, especially those that are sudden, so that the wound stitches do not stiffen and do not reopen.
If your wound is wide and deep so that it affects the muscles, then your movement may be disrupted. You might still be able to walk using tools. Avoid walking or standing for too long or far. Slowly, as the wound heals, you can begin to increase your activity.
Keep the wound dry and clean. Control according to doctor's orders. If you can change bandages, then you can change bandages 1-2 times a day.
Thus my brief explanation. May be useful. Regards.
