Can You Take Medicine Concoction From The Doctor Along With Supplements?
I am currently taking medicine from a neurologist .. including pain medication that is made into one capsule (it contains 4 types of drugs), and taken 2×1 in a day. May I take another medicine that is imboost which I can get from information as herbal medicine for endurance .. ??
Thank you for the question.
Need to be clarified, do you know what exactly the medicine that the doctor formulated for you is? What was the doctor's previous diagnosis of your condition? And what kind of complaints do you often experience now?
In imboost, the active composition of echinacea extract, which is a plant that has been studied, is able to optimize the immune system, making it more immune to infections. Consumption of this supplement was also reported to help speed up the healing period for various diseases.
Consumption of this supplement can actually be done freely, without a doctor's prescription. However, considering that you are also undergoing treatment for other medical conditions, we recommend that you do not take drugs or other supplements carelessly. Moreover, if you do not know what exactly is contained in the doctor's concoction. It is feared, there will be a negative interaction between supplements and the drugs you consume.
So, it is better, before taking any drugs or supplements, consult your doctor or neurologist who treats you, okay?
I hope this helps.
