Can You Use Nebulisation Therapy To Treat Cough With Phlegm?
Good afternoon, I have permission to ask about the treatment for cough with phlegm whether I can use pulmicort nebule 0.5% and ventoline nebule? U003cbr u003e u003cbr u003eThank you
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Pulmicort is a drug that contains budesonide, a drug from the corticosteroid group that can be given in the form of inhalation / nebulation to treat severe inflammatory conditions in the airways (for example in people with asthma). Ventolin is a drug that contains albuterol or salbutamol, a drug from the SABA group (short acting beta agonist) which is a bronchodilator (a drug given to dilate the narrowed airways). Both of these medicines are hard drugs that you should not use if you have not consulted a doctor directly and you should not be able to buy without a prescription from a doctor.
If you experience a normal cough with phlegm, you don't need both of these drugs for nebulisation. You only need to use NaCl or just a physiological saline solution to help thin your phlegm to make it easier to remove. Do not use both of these drugs without clear indications and if you have not consulted a doctor directly.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
