Causes And Overcoming Depression?
I wrote a student at one of the state universities in Bandung. I want to consult about the complaints that I experienced. ever since I was little I always experienced a sudden change of mood, to the worst now when I had started growing up. sometimes my feelings are very happy and uplifting but suddenly my feelings really want to be angry but for no apparent reason. finally I often kept quiet and was reluctant to meet other people or talk with others. if asked why? I don’t even know myself, because there is no clear reason why I’m suddenly angry and upset like that. without even realizing it, I want to hurt myself, like my hand hitting a wall very hard, slashing my own hand or finger with a sharp object, banging my head against the wall with a feeling of anger that rises. not infrequently, the intention to commit suicide also likes to come suddenly. Are there any serious illnesses that I experienced? or is this really called bipolar? and what should i do? please explain, thank you
Good afternoon Sulis, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com. The condition that you experience can indeed be a certain form of mental disorder, among the possibilities are:
Major depressive disorder
And also others can depend on the results of the examination. Examination in cases like this is very important, because it is not easy even to simply distinguish the disorder or not in the case of mental disorders. For example, what you feel can be normal when it is related to hormonal imbalances due to the menstrual cycle and drug side effects. But it is not normal if there are no triggers and have to harm yourself and others. Suicidal intent also needs to be seen again to what extent was realized. Therefore, our advice should you check yourself with a psychiatrist or at least on a psychologist, so you can be clarified your current status. The treatment you will receive later will depend on the results of the examination, which can be in the form of medication or psychotherapy, or a combination of both.
In the meantime, share your problem with your family or people you trust, and try to always be with other people, so you can be reminded if you then start doing something harmful. So, hopefully answering your question.
