Causes And Prevention Of Menorrhagia.?
Hello. Good afternoon … I’m a 23-year-old woman. I just got married 8 months ago, I haven’t had a child. Before 3 months ago I had an excessive period and it didn’t stop long enough. The doctor said because of too many hormones / known menorrhagia. What is menorrhagia ??? What is the cause ?? If you have recovered from menorrhagria, what will disrupt the menstrual cycle in the months to come ?? Can I still get pregnant? Please explain, doctor. thank you
Hello Winky, Thank you for the question.
Menorrhagia is a menstrual condition with too much / excessive blood. During menstruation, the average woman will bleed 30-40 mL, whereas in menorrhagia the amount of blood that can come out can reach 60-80 mL. In addition to large amounts of blood, the sufferer's menstrual periods can last longer and sufferers also experience menstrual pain complaints. The following are some of the causes of menorrhagia:
Hormone disorders endometriosis pelvic inflammatory syndrome polycystic ovary syndrome hypothyroidism and other Hormone disorders can cause you to have difficulty determining the fertile period so the effort of a married couple to get pregnant is not easy. Management of menorrhagia depends on the medical conditions underlying these symptoms. If this medical condition can be treated then your menstrual complaints can improve. In general, doctors can provide tranexamic acid drugs, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, contraceptive pills, injectable progestreons, GnRH analogues, and surgery if the treatment does not work.
Please continue to consult and undergo treatment in accordance with the advice of your obstetrician and gynecologist. You are also advised to:
regular intercourse at least 2-3 times per week increase the consumption of balanced nutritious food with adequate rest, avoid excessive physical activity avoid smoking habits and consumption of alcoholic drinks avoid the use of vaginal lubricants Hope it helps.
