Causes And Treat Red Eyes?
This is my sclera, my eyes are red for 3 days, or what is the cure?
Good evening, thanks for the question
Red eye is the main sign of inflammation in the eye. Most cases are mild conditions and can recover completely. Red eye is divided into 2 types, namely ciliary injection and conjunctival injection. Ciliary injekai is caused by inflammatory conditions in the iris, cornea, or ciliary body structure, whereas conjunctival injection is caused by inflammation in the conjunctiva.
Some eye disorders that cause ciliary injection or conjunctival injection include:
1. Conjunctivitis (inflammation of the conjunctiva)
2. Blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids)
3. Corneal abrasion (abrasions on the surface of the cornea)
4. Foreign matter
5. Conjunctival bleeding
6. Iritis (inflammation of the iris)
7. Glaucoma (increased eye pressure)
8. Scleritis (inflammation of the sclera)
9. Chemical trauma
The cause of the red-eye condition can be identified through deeper interviews regarding the main and additional symptoms (are there any visual disturbances, is there eye discharge, glare, runny water, lumps, etc.), as well as direct eye examination. Treatment will be adjusted to the cause that can only be known after the examination.
Make further consultations with your doctor to be examined. Avoid excessive rubbing of the eyes, avoid contact with dust or other irritants in the eyes, and do not use eye drops freely without a doctor's prescription.
That's all, hope you can help
