Causes And Treatment Of Comatose People?
What is the condition of a person when experiencing coma?
Hello Sapta Nur, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Commas are basically one level of one's consciousness. A person who is in a coma is someone who is unconscious and is in the deepest level of an unconscious where people who are in a coma cannot open their eyes, talk or move even though they have been given the strongest pain stimulation.
Coma can last for a long or short period of time where the most common cause of this condition is brain damage. Brain damage that can cause it is like stroke, severe head injury, brain tumor, or inflammation of the brain.
Although people who experience coma are unconscious, heart rate and breathing movements are still present, but are often ineffective (due to brain damage) so they generally use the tools to survive.
People who can recover from coma will generally recover gradually, and there are those who can recover completely but some are left with impaired brain function or disruption of certain parts of the body permanently and thus require further therapy.
I hope this helps.
